The Vice-President for Ethics and Expertise – O.A. Kompaniets, is the head of the Committee on Ethics and Expertise.
The work of the committee is regulated by the Statute of VAPREH, which defines the following:
5.21.6. Committee on Ethics and Expertise.
5.21.6. 1. Composition.
— the Committee on Ethics and Expertise consists of 5 (five) members of the Association.
— each member of the Committee on Ethics and Expertise serves 5 (five) years but can be elected for 2 (two) additional terms.
— the head of the Committee on Ethics and Expertise is proposed by the President of the Association and approved by the Presidium.
— the composition of the Committee on Ethics and Expertise is determined by its head and approved by the president.
5.21.6. 2. Duties.
— monitor the adherence to ethics by the members of the Association in their scientific and practical activities.
— when instances of violation of ethical norms of behavior by a member of the Association or non-compliance with the requirements of the Statute or Decisions of the governing bodies of the Association are found, bring up for the Presidium’s discussion the question of expelling the said individual from the members of the Association.
— consider appeals and complaints and prepare responses to them for approval by the president of the Association.
